Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Please read this first. Grivaa Legal provides legal strategy and documentation support. It is not a law firm, it does not practise law, and nothing on this website is legal advice or a solicitation of work. Using this website or sending an enquiry does not create an advocate–client relationship.

1. What this service is

Grivaa Legal helps you organise the evidence file, identify the deadlines and limitation position that apply to your matter, and map the forum or route that fits the relief you are seeking. Where a matter requires legal advice, drafting that must be settled by an advocate, filing or appearance, that work is carried out by independent qualified professionals, and you engage them directly or through a separate engagement that is disclosed to you.

2. No outcome is promised

Outcomes in any dispute depend on the facts, the documents, the forum, the limitation position and the applicable law, and on how the other side and the forum act. Nothing on this website, in any communication, or in any roadmap prepared for you is a guarantee, assurance or prediction of a particular result, timeline, recovery amount or refund.

3. Information on this website

The pages and guides on this website describe general positions under Indian law as we understand them at the time of writing. Statutes, rules and judicial positions change. Nothing here is a substitute for advice on your own facts, and you should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of this website alone.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Give complete and accurate information. A review is only as good as the documents behind it, and an omitted document, demand letter or date can change the answer entirely.
  • Tell us about any deadline, hearing date or notice period as soon as you are aware of it.
  • Do not send documents belonging to a third party that you are not entitled to share.
  • Do not use this website to send unlawful, defamatory or infringing material.

5. Deadlines

Many of the matters described on this website run on strict statutory windows — for example, the notice and filing periods under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, and limitation periods for money claims. We will flag the deadlines we identify from the documents you give us, but you remain responsible for meeting them. We do not accept responsibility for a deadline missed because information was given late, incompletely or inaccurately.

6. Fees and engagement

An initial review of your enquiry does not create an engagement. Any work beyond that, and the fee for it, is confirmed in writing before it begins. Fees payable to advocates, authorities, forums or other professionals are separate from anything payable to Grivaa Legal, and are notified to you.

7. Confidentiality

Matter information and documents are treated as confidential and handled as set out in our privacy policy. Because Grivaa Legal is not a law firm, communications with us may not attract the professional privilege that attaches to communications with an advocate. Where privilege matters to you, say so and we will route the communication accordingly.

8. Third-party links

This website links to statutory portals and other external resources for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

9. Intellectual property

The text, design, guides and templates on this website belong to Grivaa Legal. You may read, print and share them for your own non-commercial use. Reproducing them commercially, or republishing them as your own, requires written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Grivaa Legal is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity or goodwill, arising from the use of this website or from information published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Delhi have jurisdiction, subject to any statutory forum that has exclusive jurisdiction over a particular matter.

12. Changes

These terms may be revised. The version published on this page at the time you use the website is the one that applies.
