Who prepares your matter, and who reviews it

Last reviewed: 12 October 2026

Most legal-services websites in India name nobody. This page exists so you can see who stands behind the documents, the deadlines and the forum advice on this site before you send anything confidential.

The short version. Grivaa Legal is a legal-strategy and documentation-support desk, not a law firm. The desk builds your evidence file, computes your deadlines and recommends a forum. Where a notice must be issued, or a matter must be filed or argued, that is done by an enrolled advocate. You are told which part is which before you pay anything.

The people

Abhishek Aggarwal — Founder

Abhishek Aggarwal founded Grivaa Legal and leads the documentation desk. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) with fifteen years in finance, and his work on this site is the part that sits before the law: reconstructing a payment ledger from bank statements and builder demand letters, reading a builder buyer agreement the way a buyer should have read it, mapping which clock started on which date, and working out which forum a claim actually belongs in.

He is not an advocate and does not give legal advice. Statutory positions, limitation periods and filing strategy on this site are reviewed by the associated advocate below before publication.

Lokesh Chopra — Advocate, associated

Lokesh Chopra is the enrolled advocate associated with this practice. Drafting of statutory notices, filing before RERA authorities, civil courts and tribunals, and appearance in those matters are carried out by him or by advocates empanelled with the desk for the relevant jurisdiction.

He also reviews the legal content on this website — every page that states a section, a deadline or a limitation period carries the date it was last checked.

What the desk does, and what it does not do

The desk does thisAn enrolled advocate does this
Reads your documents and tells you what is missingDrafts and issues the statutory notice
Reconstructs the payment ledger and the correspondence trailFiles the complaint, suit or petition
Computes the dates — return memo, notice, limitationAppears before the authority, court or tribunal
Recommends the forum and explains the trade-offAdvises on the merits of your specific facts
Prepares the brief the advocate works fromSigns the pleadings

This division is the reason the site is careful about its language. Nothing here is legal advice, no outcome is promised anywhere on this website, and sending documents through the enquiry form does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Outcomes vary by facts, documents and dates.

Who we act for

Claimant side only, and civil matters only.

  • Real estate: the buyer or allottee — never the builder.
  • Cheque dishonour: the payee who holds the dishonoured cheque, under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
  • Money recovery: the party owed the money, in a civil recovery claim.
  • NRI clients: handled remotely end to end — see the NRI property desk.

We do not take criminal defence or bail work.

Frequently asked questions

Who will actually handle my matter?

The desk prepares the documentation, the evidence file, the deadline map and the forum recommendation. Where a notice has to be issued or a matter has to be filed or argued, that work is carried out by an enrolled advocate — the associated advocate for this practice is Lokesh Chopra. You are told which part sits with the desk and which part sits with the advocate before any money moves.

Is Grivaa Legal a law firm?

No. Grivaa Legal is a legal-strategy and documentation-support service. It does not itself give legal or tax advice and does not represent clients before any court, tribunal or authority. Drafting, filing and appearance are carried out by enrolled advocates.

Who reviews the legal content on this website?

Pages that state a statutory position, a limitation period or a filing deadline are reviewed by Lokesh Chopra, Advocate, before publication. Each page carries the review date it was last checked on.

Do you act for builders or for buyers?

Claimant side only. In real-estate matters that means the buyer or allottee, never the builder. In cheque matters it means the payee who holds the dishonoured cheque. In recovery matters it means the party owed the money.

Next step. Send a short summary of your matter with whatever documents you have. You will get a reply within one working day, Monday to Saturday, 10:00–19:00 IST. Register your case or message the desk on WhatsApp.
